Description
The Tibetan
vinaya
lineage which
kha che paN chen shAkya shrI/
(1140s–1225)
introduced to Tibet at the beginning of the 13th century and that was transmitted through
sa skya paNDi ta kun dga' rgyal mtshan/
(1182–1251)
. The ordination lineage of Śākyaśrībhadra (i.e. paN chen sdom rgyun/, kha che lugs/), which was strongly propagated by the Four Communities [i.e.
jo gdan tshogs pa sde bzhi/
], is covered under "Middle Vinaya (bar 'dul)":
